Major Project Wix

After finish my Major project, i had to put it in my portfolio page on my Wix website.

I had already chosen my portfolio template but with the new Lucidpress pages, i decided put another one and change for one more suitable

After choose the template i upload the images of my Major project

I order them and posted on the website.

Finalizing my Major Project

Finalizing my major project is the stage when i put everything i did in the Lucidpress to create my pagination.

I already did my cover in a previous class exercise and only did a few more alterations.

I Changed the font and the line spacing.

Here are the most important tools to add information to the pages or move/control them.

I deleted some pages because i did not need it all of them.

Here was where i uploaded the images from my computer to the Lucidpress and started to adjust everything on the pages by moving them and choosing the size

This side of the bar is where i can manipulate everything in the pages, such as the images by changing the backgrounds or the lettering and colors.

In all my work on lucidpress, i had attention about the lettering colors for everything to make sense in the sequence of the pallet already studied previously.

Major Project Digital Development

After the photo edition i chose Krita as my main software. 

It was my first time using a X-Pen table drawing so i had to train first how to draw in digital and then start paint my drawings.

I started by experiment paint over my drawing, always using another layer instead painting in the original image.

The main tools i used on Krita were the paint and drawing tools that i can find above in the software and chose the thickness, color and texture, the move tool and the eraser.

This programe have many options about colors and drawing tools.

As is possible to see above, i wrote the colors code because i already had chose my color palette.

The pencil marks were to visible so i had to put some white with transparency to create a soft effect

After experiment many times how to work with the transparency, i start painting this piece where the top is translucent.

My designs are with rope, but i didn't get it how to do with more detail and use real rope texture, so i had to represent my design in a minimalistic way.

Materials Reference

As My Collection is for summer, i searched about fabrics i can use on the making of my fashion collection because is a season of the year very hot and make us sweat and if the fabric if is not suitable can provoke discomfort.

Cotton: "Is one of the best fabrics for hot weather, it is soft, lightweight, breathable, and soaks up sweat, allowing heat to escape the body and for the people to stay cool"

Linen: "Is another top choice for a breathable fabric to wear in hot weather conditions. It is also very light and is loosely woven which allows heat to escape from the body. It absorbs a lot of moisture and dries quickly."

Rayon: "Is a man-made fabric blended from cotton, wood pulp, and other natural or synthetic fibers. It was invented as a cheaper alternative to silk. Rayon has very thin fibers, which allows it to breathe more than other fabrics and gives it a lightness that prevents it from sticking to a body in hot weather. Since it is so comfortable and cooling to wear, rayon is an especially good fabric for sportswear and summer dresses."

Chiffon: It can be used in so many different ways to offer a splash of elegance while ensuring the heat doesn’t overwhelm the wearer. Ideal for dresses.

Jersey: Often blended with cotton to make a rugged yet lightweight material, jersey is an excellent choice for summer clothing as it won’t weigh the wearer down and is also extremely flexible.

I Searched about polyester fishing ropes to have as a visual reference and because my collection have ropes all over the pieces.

Major project Drawings

First step on the making off my major project was drawing my pieces and after many attempts, the follow images were the ones i chose and improved.

I drew on my sketchbook and then i was supposedly to scan in my printer, but i had to menage how to deal with my printer technical problem and decided to do in other way.

I took photos of my drawings with my phone and then i edit them in my phone to put the sheet more white and the lines more accentuated. 

Creating Feedback and User Experience Testing Form

The main objective by create a feedback page is for the viewer give an opinion about my website and with that i can improve my website with all the constructive criticism.

I started by writing the 8 questions and look carefully for the tools.

I chose what questions i wanted with mandatory answer.

The last thing to do was copy the link and put in my Wix web site.

Wix portfolio page

This publication in concern about the creation of my portfolio page.

The portfolio page is the page that i will post my final project in the Wix web site.

I started by adding a new category/page to my website giving the name "Portfolio" in the side bar.

Then, after the page being created I had to enlarge the page with pulling the header down.

After that, i went to the side bar again > gallery and scrolled in the templates to choose how i wanted to present my portfolio photos.

After decided, put and adjust in my page, i saved and published the website.

I am going to do a fashion collection, so i decided to choose this template because in my opinion it will be more easy to see and scroll through my work and more easy for the appealing for the viewer. 

Wix Phone Perspective

After publish my website i decided to see if everything is correct in the mobile advice because sometimes can deform.

I decided just to adjust the size and do not change anything else because it looks nice.

I decided check out the menu and click in each option

After see everything closer, i decided leave my website how it was.
